INSF and CAS Announce 9th SRSF Call Results
Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) announced the results of the ninth Silk Road Science Fund (SRSF).
In this call, out of 44 joint proposals submitted by Iranian and Chinese researchers in the fields of Bioengineering and Advanced Materials, six projects were approved following scientific evaluations by both INSF and CAS. At INSF, evaluations were conducted by specialized committees through scientific peer reviews, scoring, and final assessment in dedicated sessions. The results were then finalized by an international committee comprising representatives from the specialized groups. Projects with high scores from both INSF and CAS were then selected.
INSF's scientific evaluations were based on a number of criteria including: a) peer review results; b) the necessity of foreign collaborators and their added value, including expertise, lab facilities, and technical knowledge; c) the capability of the principal investigator and the teams; d) national priority of the project; e) project outcomes; and f) the scientific merit of the proposal.
