First Joint Call with the Agency for Innovative Development of Uzbekistan

Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) and the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced their first joint call for proposals.

Call Description

The first joint call for proposals between the INSF and the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan aims at funding 10 joint research projects in 4 scientific areas. The duration of projects funded within this call is a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years.

Priority Areas

• Agriculture (Agriculture and Environment protection Sciences)
• Climate Change (Earth Sciences)
• Information Technologies (Information and Development of Information and Communication Technologies)
• Water Saving and Irrigation Technologies (Agriculture and Environmental Sciences)

Applicant Eligibility

• An Iranian Applicant must be a full-time faculty member at an Iranian university or research institute.
• Iranian Applicants must submit their proposals, jointly prepared with their Uzbek counterparts, at the INSF Research Management System. Submitting proposals is only possible through the aforementioned system.
• In addition to the online application form in the INSF Research Management System, a proposal form in English in Microsoft Word format together with the Joint Collaboration Agreement Form signed by the Iranian and Uzbek applicants must be submitted by the Iranian applicant.

Timeline

• Call Announcement: November 4, 2023
• Deadline for Submitting Proposals: January 3, 2024
• Call Results Announcement: Mid-March 2024
• Initiation of Approved Projects: April 2024

Funding Amount

Iranian researchers will receive the Maximum of 20.000.000.000 IRR for the duration of 3 years.
