Two Joint Calls with Chinese Counterparts
The Silk Road Science Fund (SRSF) call was announced on April 4, jointly with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In its 8th run, SRSF aims at funding maximum of 6 joint projects and 3 workshops with Biological Engineering and Nanotechnology as its priority areas.
With the travel limitations of the Covid pandemic lifted, the organisations intend to encourage and facilitate the exchange of researchers within the framework of this call.
The 3rd joint call with the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) was announced on May 11. In their third call, INSF and NSFC narrowed down the funding priorities to three main areas with the following scopes:
1. Air pollution، climate change and health
- Air pollution and Climate Change: impacts and responses
- Atmospheric Environment and Health
2. Water security
- Environmental water science
- Water resources and Environmental health
3. Medicine
- Personalized medicine in diabetes care and anti-diabetes drugs development
- New technologies in prevention and early detection of cancer and new approaches and procedures for cancer treatment
- Healthy Aging and innovative treatment of cognitive and behavioral problems in elderly
In this call maximum of 10 projects will be jointly funded by INSF and NSFC.
